BIOGRAPHY

Norbert Fullerton is a Jamaican-born actuary and investment leader whose career shows how a love for numbers can open doors around the world. He currently serves as Head of Institutional Client Strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at Janus Henderson Investors in the United Kingdom, where he helps large organizations make important long-term investment decisions. Fullerton’s secondary level education was at Campion College with Sixth form at Wolmer’s High School for Boys. At the tertiary level, he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from The University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona where he was involved in a range of extra-curricula activities including table tennis. After working as a software engineer at Fujitsu-ICL, Jamaica he won a prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship that allowed him to pursue a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science at City, University of London. He later qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and went on to hold senior leadership positions in investment consulting and asset management. In addition to his professional achievements, Fullerton is passionate about helping young people succeed in STEM-related fields. With his friend and colleague, Andrew Long has supported mathematics and actuarial sciences students and co-founded the IFoA Fullerton-Long Actuarial Futures programme, which has supported talented Caribbean students pursuing actuarial studies, including at The UWI. In 2026, Fullerton and Long were awarded The UWI Mona – Faculty of Science and Technology Alumni Excellence - Philanthropy Award.
